BMOS Musical Theatre Company will be producing this show, with the collaboration and support of West Bromwich Operatic Society, Bilston Operatic Company and Bournville Musical Theatre Company.
Show week is Sunday 8th June to Saturday 14th June 2025. There will be a total of seven performances, from Tuesday 10th – Saturday 14th June (five evening performances plus two matinee performances on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th).
There are three roles for children in this production: Little Cosette, Gavroche, and Little Eponine.
Auditions will take place for the roles of Little Cosette and Gavroche only. Little Eponine – a non-singing and non-speaking role – will be cast from the applicants auditioning for Little Cosette who were not successful in gaining this role.
The role profiles set out the playing age of the character. This is the age you could reasonably come across when playing the role on stage (this might be a little older or younger than your actual age). Applicants should fit the playing age range.

Auditions – key dates
Launch evening
All applicants will be invited to attend an initial workshop where they will be asked to participate in singing and movement tasks. This provides a chance to find out more about how the show will be produced and the expectations on children joining the company.
The launch evening will take place from 7.30pm-9pm on Tuesday 21st January 2025 at Girlguiding Birmingham, Trefoil House, 2 Ellis Street, Birmingham.
Auditions
Auditions will take place between 9.30am-6pm on Saturday 1st February 2025 at Girlguiding Birmingham, Trefoil House, 2 Ellis Street, Birmingham. Individual audition slots will be advised nearer the date.
Audition fee
To audition, you will need to pay a non-refundable audition fee of £25. If you are eventually successful this fee will be deducted from your participation fee.
The audition fee must be paid by 30th January 2025. Payment should be made to:
- BMOS Musical Theatre Company
- Sort code: 40 43 28
- Account number: 31551582

Rehearsal commitment
Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday evenings from the beginning of January 2025, with the addition of Thursday evenings from March 2025 & then Sundays from 27th April 2025. Successful applicants will be required to attend rehearsals as and when called.
While we will tolerate the occasional planned absence (up to three in total), from 29th April 2025 until show week no absences whatsoever will be tolerated so it is important you are available to attend all rehearsals during that time.
Participation fee
Given the high costs associated with producing such an exceptional show, there will be a participation fee of £250 (this is inclusive of the audition fee). This needs to have been paid by the end of March 2025. We would encourage monthly standing orders to our account to make the payment more manageable and ensure less admin.
